- For those of you who are
Internet-connected, New England Hokies now has a mailing list server active. If you are not familiar with a mailing list server, just think of it as an email copying machine which copies your email to everyone on its subscription list. This list server is intended for the exclusive use of the New England Hokie community, providing a convenient method to broadcast items of interest to all other NE Hokies in a timely fashion. Your address is used internally by the chapter and is not distributed or shown to other sources to respect your privacy.
-
- Still interested? To get
started, simply send an email message to vtne-subscribe@YahooGroups.com .
The body of the email is unimportant. From that point on, any
email sent to VTNE by a subscribed user will be forwarded to
the email address you used when you subscribed.
-
- If you want to send email
to all VTNE subscribers, just send the email to vtne@YahooGroups.com , and the list server takes care
of the rest.
-
- To unsubscribe, just email
vtne-unsubscribe@YahooGroups.com
-
- Need more help? Detailed
information and FAQs will be sent to you once you "subscribe".
And if you need help, just send mail to alumni@newenglandhokies.com with your questions, and he'll
do what he can to help.
-
- Rules? Check your own
Internet Service Provider's rules for email use, they also apply
to your use of the VTNE list server. Other than that, use common
sense. You are speaking in a public forum, and you are not anonymous.
While submissions to the list will not be moderated before distribution,
become an annoyance
or offensive, and you will be banned. Many thanks to Steve Shelley for making the list-server
available to our local alumni.
